The English Football Assocation (FA) has agreed to extend the 2019-20 professional football season indefinitely with leagues and competitions now suspended till 30 April due to the coronavirus pandemic.
That decision was taken in a meeting today between the FA and various representative from clubs all over England.
In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, the FA said: “We are united in our commitment to finding ways of resuming the 2019/20 football season and ensuring all domestic and European club league and cup matches are played as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.”
