Another week, another first-round pick for the Dolphins. Not surprisingly, they still have the first overall pick and with that pick they’re taking a quarterback. What is surprising is that the quarterback isn’t Tua Tagovailoa. Instead, Justin Herbert makes his first 2019 appearance as the No. 1 selection after a strong start to the season. A year ago at this time, Herbert was considered the best passer in his draft class but he returned to school (it turned out to be the right decision after an inconsistent 2018 campaign) and has been much better through the opening weeks of 2019. If he continues to play well, Miami will have a tough decision to make at the top of the draft.
This week the Buccaneers pass on a passer (after targeting one in our previous two mock drafts) and the Panthers find themselves in the QB business after Cam Newton could be sidelined by another injury. All told, four quarterbacks are among the first 32 selections and you’ll have to keep reading to see where they land in our latest 2020 mock draft.
And before you get angry at the draft order, please know that it’s based on the current SportsLine Super Bowl odds projections and has nothing to do with us hating your favorite team.
Alright, let’s get to it.
